"The Young and the Hung" is another classic pre-condom video from director William Higgins. This movie is generally considered to be one of Higgins' best. The video is probably best known for its "watermelon scene," in which three "straight" boys discover a new use for a watermelon, which leads them to make a few other interesting discoveries. The sex ranges from inventive (the watermelon scene, Michael Gere cutting the shorts off a sleeping Troy Ramsey to provide better access to his ass) to clichéd (seducing a "straight" farm boy, a glory hole sequence), but throughout, the men are hot, the sex is enthusiastic, and the film sizzles. The dvd was digitally remastered by Catalina and the studio added a bonus scene from "Thrill Me!".
