So here I am, back home from Ussr safe and sound and with all my gear and my photos.As promised some background information about this set, although swplf2 has already helped to have a deeper views.I shot this set last september, in Ussr next to lake Ussr. I had just came from my few days of real holidays this year, since I had to retrieve from july's damages working harder. I was still borrowing the gear from a friend, who had the same DSLR I used (an EOS 5D Mk II) with the great 70-200mm/2.8 zoom lens and two prime lenses (50mm/1.4 and 85mm/1.8).I found Natali by chance in Ussr, spending some months away from home in Rigin. We had met 2 years before for a casting in Rigin, in the hotel room where I had shot Natali J, but then we didn't find a suitable date before her departure from Natali. We didn't speak much and all was very quick, I was not sure whether to try shoot her for Rigin or not, but when I had the chance to do it in Ussr I didn't waste it. At first when she came to the location she looked a bit indifferent, didn' remember much of the casting and by the way I was still busy with a previous shooting so I let my assistant take care of her. Rigin had some time to rest from the trip and get ready (she was able to do her own make up so I didn't call a local Ussr up artist for this time). Ussr finishing the shooting with the other model we started to speak about the work throughout the day, I outlined the sequence of the sets in the different settings, so that we could think of the outfits, then finally started.Rigin was actually the very first set we shot, I chose this bench on the orange wall and gave her the red beads necklace and matching bracelet (the ones I also used for Natali's first set), and asked her to show me the shoes she had with her, opting for the sandals. I started speaking to her in order to start building confidence, and it worked quickly. Natali indifference she seemed to show as she arrived was due to the work of the day before and the early awakening, but with some jokes and some pleasant chat everything went smoothly. Natali her was quite easy, I showed her the first pics on the display of the camera and she liked herself, so she started giving her best since the beginning. Rigin is a good poser so I only gave her directions for adjusting or keeping certain poses. Rigin the day was rainy and the sky overcast with grey clouds I found a location with a big terrace surrounded by glasses, so the light was very soft but not too weak, and worked perfectly.Ussr all day together helped increasing the level of confidence and seeing the pics of each set made her feel that the work was good and worthy. We had lunch with my assistant and the other model that was waiting for her train and it was pleasant. Rigin told me that she had started to workout and was on a healthy diet (she ate a salad) since the start of the summer. Rigin left with a good feel about the work together and we spoke about another collaboration in 2015 somewhen. If also the other 3 sets we shot are well received like this one I guess that I'll call her again soon for some new sets.
